Jill Suzanne Wagner was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was raised by her father, a former Marine, and attended/graduated North Carolina State University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in management. She entered acting/modeling around the turn of the century, appearing in Stuff magazine following her national debut in 2003 as a cast member on the MTV series Punk’d. Wagner ranked #90 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2004. In January 2007, Wagner stated that she had been interviewed about the possibility of portraying Wonder Woman in the upcoming movie version, saying, “I met with the guys over at Silver pictures about some things and Wonder Woman was one of them.” Her filmography, listed below via Wikipedia, shows her short yet flourishing career in both TV and Film. But it’s the Mercury ads we are most interested in. Before Kate Walsh came along in her Cadillac CTS, Jill showed off the Mercury Mariner, Mercury Sable and all new Milan. Here’s an idea, to go along with our rebranding post. Why not bring back one of the most beloved Mercury vehicles of all time, the Cougar, based off a variant of the Ford Mustang Concept. With the success of so many Mustang vehicles (Base model, GT, GT500, etc.) it would be a since to grab attention with a new Mercury Cougar concept. The car, whether it was mass produced or just a 1000-run collectors item, wold bring nothing but positive attention to Mercury – which they could REALLY use right now. What do you think?

This is a great find by antiquehelper.com. The estimated price of this Hollywood Icon’s vehicle was estimated (at the auction held in 2005) between $20 – $25,000. It is partially restored and a real beauty both inside and out. The seating, engine, and all around appearance/mobility of the car are in decent shape for a ride that was built half a century ago.

This ‘53 Mercury car was originally owned by Seth Mason of Fairmount, Indiana. It was then sold to James Dean’s Cousin Paul Scott- both he and James Dean rode around Fairmount in this vehicle. The car was later sold in the seventies to the last owners, and has been garage kept since 1977, though occasionally rolled out for local parades.

The car has an original 87,202 miles, a recently tuned flat head V8, new brakes, new wide white wall tires, Merc-O-Matic transmission. The interior was restored in April of 2005. Some of the options include an in-dash radio and clock, Fender skirts, dual outside rear view mirrors. The car still runs and drives good. The outside has not been restored and there are a few rust spots and small creases in two of the doors and a small dent in the front fender. There is also a missing chrome Mercury placard.

Following the Ford Five Hundreds switch to the Taurus, the Mercury Montego was drastically redesigned as the 2008 Mercury Sable. Already this new 2008 model has been rated the Safest Full-Size Car in America and was awarded the Top Pick in Safety!

The five-occupant interior has received new styling options and a host of new features. A navigation system, heated seats, SNYC voice-activated system and rear-seat DVD Entertainment are among many of these new features. The 60/40 Split fold-down rear seatback can also add to the already spaci2008 Mercury Sableous 21.2 cubic feet of cargo space that the trunk provides. It’s all about comfort on the inside of this lavish craft.

With all of the new extra technologies, safety was further improved. Six standard airbags include frontal airbags, driver and front passenger side airbags and side-curtain airbags. The side-curtain airbags in the Sable are unique because they include Ford’s Safety Canopy, which keeps them inflated longer during a rollover. All-wheel antilock disc brakes are included with electronic brake force distribution as well.

All of this comes with a hefty dose of muscle as well. A 3.5-liter V6 engine, capable of producing 263 horsepower, is teamed with a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive for optimal performance. With available AWD, there almost is no end to what this car is capable of doing.

The 2008 year promises to be a good one for Mercury’s Mountaineer mid-size luxury SUV. Armored in with chrome styling and three new color options give this car a look of significance this year.

The interior cabin can hold up to five or seven occupants, depending on if you opt for the power-fold third-row seat. In premier models, the second row has reclining seatbacks, meaning you not only have the truck space and the reclined third row for extra storage space, but an additional chunk of space with the freed up second row! The rear passengers get a DVD entertainment system with an 8” display to keep them engaged on those long rides. Further comfort is provided with heated seats and either Bluetooth or USB connections for your MP3 players. Further assistance is provided with the voice activated Navigation system. Along with all of that, everyone is kept safe with driver and front passenger front and side airbags, with roll sensing canopy airbags for every row.

The Mountaineer keeps itself going with a hefty dose of power. A 4.0 L V6 engine and a 4.6 L V8 engine are available. The latter utilizes a brand new six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, and the V6 uses a five-speed automatic with overdrive. If that wasn’t enough, the Mountaineer also is available with AWD!

The improvements are considerable for the 2008 year.

After winning Consumer Digest’s “best buy” three years in a row, one would think that the Mercury Mariner SUV couldn’t get any better. The 2008 year proves those people wrong. The year improvements to the design, interior, features and fuel economy are to be expected.

The newly refined interior is very impressive. A new dashboard layout places climate controls on each side with a temperature display high above the new audio and navigation systems. The rear seats may be condensed to increase the cargo volume to a notable 66.2 cubic feet of space. The addition of Mercury SYNC allows Voice activation to the Mariner’s impressive arsenal of features. Some of these features include a Navigation System, Bluetooth Phone service and more! Along with standard advanced frontal airbags, the Mariner comes standard with side-impact airbags and side curtain airbags. This, on top of antilock brakes with electronic stability and roll stability control, makes this one safe vehicle.

Great attention was paid to improvements on the fuel economy of the 2008 model. Power steering replaces the old hydraulic system to cause less stress on the engine; this means more miles for your dollar! A 2.3L four-cylinder engine and a 3.0L V6 engine are available, both teamed with a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The option for AWD is also available.

Since the exterior design has been modified this year, you can also expect a smoother and quieter ride. You can finally listen to the lavish audio system without any outside noise filtering through your enjoyment. The 2008 Mercury Mariner is all about pleasing you in every way possible.

Long gone is the plastic side cladding, resulting in the 2008 Mariner’s lustrous appearance. New and improved headlights, taillights, doors, wheels and an updated grille give this hybrid a much-enhanced presence. The changes to the roof decrease the wind noise and allow the car to have an even quieter ride. On top of all of that, three new colors are available for more detailed customization.

The interior is quite nice as well. Changes to the windshield, floor, roof and windows further reduce the internal noise while driving. The new Navigation system includes a 6.5” screen that can play DVDs and display of power flow between the electric motor and the gasoline engine and charging status. Other luxury features include a 330-watt stereo system, MP3 compatibility, various power features and more! Safety wasn’t sacrificed for all of this improvement either. The 2008 Mariner Hybrid gets dual-stage frontal airbags, side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags and antilock brakes all as standard.

The AWD Mariner Hybrid gets a recorded 34 mpg city! With the 2.3-L four-cylinder engine, doubled with the continuously variable automatic transmission, gets a respectable 133 horsepower. The regenerative brakes have also been updated to provide a better transition from electric and gasoline modes.

The Mercury Grand Marquis is one of few six-passenger RWD sedans available in the US. The Grand Marquis is the only one that offers a standard V8 engine and offers the most spacious interior and trunk for its class. The 2007 model offers an array of new features and is now E85 fuel capable.

As stated previously, the spacious interior can hold up to six occupants. The trunk has 20.6 cubic feet of cargo space and a trunk organizer is offered as an option. The new 2007 Palm Beach package includes new interior styling and power heated mirrors for better visibility in freezing environments. Frontal airbags and side-impact airbags keep the occupants safe in case of a collision and a dual-rate brake booster supplies full braking power during a “panic stop” all on its own. If that wasn’t enough, also included are all-disc antilock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution. It’s no wonder the Grand Marquis has received a five Star safety rating in all five categories every year since 1995.

The 2007 Grand Marquis gets a standard 4.6L V8 engine, capable of producing 224 horsepower. A 239 horsepower V8 engine with dual exhausts is also available for those who opt for the handling package. Both of these impressive engines team with a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. All of this gives this automobile a comfortable and pleasing ride.
