Mercury drivers can now take advantage of voice activated in car communication thanks to a collaboration between Ford and Microsoft. The Ford SYNC allows users to control most Bluetooth enabled mobile phones and digital media players when the new $395 SYNC option is added to a vehicle. This technology is based on Microsoft’s Auto software which allows voice commands to be send to Bluetooth devices. The 2008 Mercury Sable, Milan and Mountaineer each have the SYNC option available. Consumer response to this option has been positive which may lead to all future models including the voice activated technology.
